BBC NEWS | Technology | Global blogger action day called: “The month-old Committee to Protect Bloggers’ is asking those with blogs to dedicate their sites on 22 February to the ‘Free Mojtaba and Arash Day’.”
While most of us are more concerned with getting fired for blogging, these two have been imprisoned. It certainly puts things into perspective.
“‘Amnesty International has recorded a growing number of cases of people detained or imprisoned for disseminating their beliefs or information through the internet, in countries such as China, Syria, Vietnam, the Maldives, Cuba, Iran and Zimbabwe.'”
It’s frustrating that not everyone is able to speak freely on issues that are important and concern so many. Although, I didn’t read in the article what these two actually were writing about.
The Committee to Protect Bloggers have their announcement of this movement.
