Connie Crosby: Connie’s Top Ten Ways to Find a Law Library Job (for students & new librarians)

I like Connie’s list. Last Summer we had speakers from TALL come to our school. It was good to hear from them, especially since they all had different backgrounds and worked in different areas of Law librarianship.

Connie’s list can be adapted to any area of librarianship, I believe. Her top point really is number 1. You can’t just sit around, not reading the literature or connecting with people in the field and expect to find a way “in”. One has to get out, join associations, committees, listservs, etc. All very important, and sometimes fun too!
