ALA | Statement from ALA on impact of Hurricane Katrina

ALA | Statement from ALA President Michael Gorman on impact of Hurricane Katrina: “We have just learned that a Louisiana Library Disaster Relief Fund has been established, and monetary donations to assist school, public, and academic library restoration efforts in Southeastern Louisiana can be sent payable to: LLA-Disaster Relief, 421 South 4th Street, Eunice, LA 70535.”

Although restoring libraries is probably the furthest thought from any victim’s mind, there will come a day when library restoration must take place since we all know good libraries make good communities 🙂
