Extreme Library Sports

The following is from an email I received. If you’re going to OLA, come check out the fun! Anyone want to be on my team? (Although I suspect I may be too busy to race…or just tired!)

IT IS TIME TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM IN THE DOWNHILL BOOK TRUCK RACE!!!!

The 2006 edition of the OLA Super Conference is just around the corner and the buzz for the four-day event is already starting to hit a fever pitch – this is one you won’t forget!

Friday’s social event is like none you’ve seen before. Get your team together and register for the first ever OLA sanctioned Book Truck Race.

That’s right!!! OLA has entered the glamourous and thrilling world of extreme sports – library style. The big pre-Olympics race will be held at the always lively Friday night mixer. We’re looking for teams of five people from libraries far and wide to compete for the glory and honour of OLA Book Truck Race Champion. Not only will you carry the title for a year, but you will be the envy of the library world. Did someone say endorsement deal?!

Don’t be caught on the sidelines, register your team today!! Your team can be from your own library or be from several libraries and have a theme – wherever your imagination takes you.

Register by sending your team information by e-mail to membership@accessola.com or by FAX toll free to 1-800-387-1181

Fame and fortune can be yours!! Well, fame anyway.
