Based on the several keyword searches using combinations of words like “OLA” “Conference” and “blog”, I suppose there are many of you searching for the OLA conference blog. Me too. Everyone [i.e. OLA staff] keeps saying there will be one, but so far I can’t find it.
I have to admit the OLA office isn’t as tech savvy as I’d like them to be (eg. the superconference website didn’t even have a search function). But they do the best they can with the resources they have. If you feel a dire need to discuss the conference, why not start a thread (or several) on the discussion board? Or blog it yourself and tag your entry OLA2006.
I still have four sessions and the closing luncheon to blog, but I’m in no hurry (sorry!). Conference planning really isn’t too huge a job, especially when there are so many on the committee, but it does take a fair bit of energy – and being as odd as I am I actually stayed in town and danced for several hours after the conference ended, which means today was spent answering a few emails and reading snail mail that was waiting for me when I got back.
