OLA Africa Project

The results are in. OLA’s challenge to Super Conference delegates to contribute $10 to the OLA Africa Project to build a joint school library/public library in Kenya has resulted in $27,297.70 being donated. This is close to 70% of what is needed to build our community library. We think that is marvellous! (Charmaine Crooks gave $500 after her presentation at the closing luncheon!)

If you did not get a chance to give your $10, you still can! We are giving
ourselves until February 28 to finish the job. A committee of prominent vendors at EXPO 2006 are getting behind us to try to reach our goal. The whole library community is at work together!

For more info on when and how this project got started, take a look at the brochure (PDF) or Donate online now!
