She Turned Down an Award in Protest At Poor Standards

Four words I’d never thought I’d see together: “world renowned descriptive cataloguer”

Okay, in all seriousness now, I can understand why this librarian turned down the award although I’m not sure calling the Kenya Library Association an “unprofessional organisation” will really help build bridges. Hopefully though, they’ll get her message and make more progress towards instituting and maintaining standards.

I wonder if one day I’ll be a “world renowned descriptive cataloguer”? That’d be cool.
