Fishy tale

We’ve all heard amazing stories of what people leave behind in books, or put in the drop box. It seems the Scugog Memorial Public Library has its own tale now too – and it’s a fishy one at that!

It’s unclear whether the perpetrator was just playing a practical joke or trying to make an environmental statement of some sort, but a 25-pound dead carp was found in the book drop after the Canada day long weekend. The moisture and odor destroyed about $1200 worth of materials. I can imagine that hits a small library pretty hard. What a waste!
