The students at Queen’s University are at it again, and now they’re looking for help. The members of DREAM are trying to spread Live-In for Literacy. Here’s what they wrote on their website a couple weeks ago:
If you or someone you know goes to Laurentian University, Memorial University or University of British Columbia, we need your help. We are looking for students to help organize Live in for Literacy at Memorial, Laurentian and UBC as well as volunteers to actually live in the library for the 10 days. We’ve already gotten approvals from the administration at these universities but we need people to actually live in the library, support the people living in the library and promote the event.
As someone that did the 10-day library marathon before, I can tell you this is the single greatest thing you’ll ever participate in – so fun and so rewarding. For detailed info on what’s involved in being a volunteer click here!
It’s been, gee, almost 10 years since I went to Laurentian, so I don’t think I can help them out, but maybe someone out there can! They’ve got yet another YouTube video this year – funny as ever. Pass it on to the students you know!
